In this brief review we will provide you with some background information and reviews of the best teeth whitening products on the market. Each of them is a “DIY” or do it yourself product that saves you tons of money by allowing you to avoid the costly dental office prices. You won’t have to compromise on the quality of the results, however, because these products are all formulated with professional ingredients and can deliver remarkable results.
Smile 4 You
The first product to consider is the Smile 4 You system. This uses a few different approaches to “at home” whitening, and can be as basic as the single bottle of patented gel or as detailed as their “Express Whitening and AfterCare” system that uses the gel, a blue laser light, an AfterCare gel, and customized dental trays to ensure full whitening of all of the teeth.
We really like this system for its remarkable ease of use, its affordability, and its professional results after two weeks of daily treatments. We did find that teeth could get up to 11 shades lighter, as the manufacturer described, and that the results lasted for the long term.
Crest 3D
The next product we reviewed was Crest 3D Professional Effects Whitestrips. These too get our approval because they also deliver some dramatic whitening when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. These strips are quite a bit different from the competition because they have been designed to provide a much better “fit” to the upper and lower teeth, and because they use a patented “Advanced Seal technology” that ensures the strips do not slide around during use. This is, traditionally, one of the biggest complaints, but the Crest 3D Professional Effects strips remain firmly in place – even if you drink a glass of water!
They need only 30 minutes a day for 20 days to get the best results, and the manufacturer also recommends following up the process with the use of complementary whitening toothpaste as well. This is a product well worth the price tag and is something that can provide whiter teeth for up to a full year after use.
Idol White
Lastly, we reviewed and recommend the Idol White pens. This is a very convenient and effective way to tackle the job of keeping teeth white on a year round basis. It uses an innovative “pen” with an applicator brush to dispense the gel where needed. The user just brushes the gel all over their teeth and leaves the formula in place for around three to five minutes. They then just rinse with water and the process is done. This is one for the person who can only tackle their whitening “on the go,” but it does require that they also completely brush and floss their teeth before using – which can prove a challenge to someone attempting to do their whitening at work or while on the road.
We do recommend this product though for its portability and ease of use, its great price, and its proven results. It will require constant use, but the manufacturer makes amazing deals available to those who order the “auto deliver” options or who purchase a few months at a time.
